-ABC has cancelled two of their long-running soap operas - One Life To Live and All My Children. The shows will end in September 2011 and January 2012 respectively. In the past decade NBC has cancelled all soaps except Days of Our Lives, CBS has cancelled all soaps except The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless including the historically longest running soap opera - Guiding Light. General Hospital will remain as ABCs final soap and is now the longest running US soap opera. I think the problem is that the US is not adapting their soaps for their audiences.
